The Igbo community under the headship of Eze Ndi Igbo, Lagos State Eze H. N Ohazulike, OON today honoured Hon Benjamin Adeyemi Olabinjo (BAO)at the new yam festival as a special guest of honour who has been friend of the Igbo community in Ojokoro.
The Chairman of the occasion Eze Sir Chris Ugo Anyakorah (okofia -Abagana) Ezeudo, Lekki, declared the event open with a Thanksgiving prayer to the gods for a successful planting season with great bumper harvest.

The event is celebrated in all Igbo Land in fulfilment of age long tradition that mark yam crop as a metaphor for peace, progress and prosperity.
