Royal Funeral: Osinbajo leaves Nigeria for Queen Elizabeth’s burial

Nigeria’s Vice President Yemi Osinbajo departed Abuja on Saturday for London, the UK to represent the country at the state funeral for the late Queen Elizabeth ll.
According to Osinbajo’s spokesman, Laolu Akande, the vice president would join members of the Royal Family and other world leaders at a number of events lined up for the funeral.
Also present at the ceremony will be members of the Commonwealth, Heads of State, Governors-General, Prime Ministers, and foreign royal families.
The funeral service is scheduled to hold at Westminster Abbey on Monday.

Osinbajo will be among guests and dignitaries to be received by King Charles lll and Queen Consort Camilla at a reception in Buckingham Palace on Sunday ahead of the service.
Earlier on that day, the vice president will hold a bilateral meeting with the UK Foreign Secretary, James Cleverly.
