Earlier today, the All Progressives Congress Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area held her general Assembly meeting at the Party Secretariat Agbowa.
The meeting, which was the first of its kind since the party held her primaries in June, was called to keep members of the party abreast of issues towards the 2023 general elections and to also genuinely reconcile members who are aggrieved in one way or the other from the outcome of the primaries or any other issues.
Leaders of APC at the meeting include the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo; Alhaji. G.A Akintola (Pioneer Chairman Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA); APC State Welfare Officer, Hon. Kehinde Adeniyi; Chief Oluwole Dehinsilu, Otunba Nurudeen Yusuf, Hon. Agbabiaka; Permanent Board member, SUBEB, Hon. Hakeem Shittu; former Chairman Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Hon. Adesegun Adetola; Madam S.B Adekoya.
Others were the Council Vice-Chairman, Alhaji Wasiu Oluwole Dehinsilu; Hon. Wittu Ajenifuja; LGA Secretary, Hon. Anthony Ajewole; former Executive Secretary Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Hon. Sulaimon Yusuf, Dr. Bakare Isiaka Adeyinka (House of Reps Aspirant); Leader of Ikosi-Ejinrin Legislative Council, Hon. Hassan Mustapha; Member of Ikosi-Ejinrin Executive Council, Councillors, APC LGA Executives, Ward Executives, Past Council and Party officials.
The Party Chairman, Hon. Ajenifuja Wittu gave the opening address and welcomed party members to the meeting.
While outlining the agenda of the meeting, Hon. Wittu stressed the importance of unity within the party and beckoned on party faithful to embrace the reconciliatory move being championed by the leadership of the party.
In his speech, the Executive Chairman of the LCDA, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo appreciated all party leaders for providing purposeful leadership for the party at all times, acknowledging the effort of all the leaders in managing party aspirants and party members.
He spoke extensively about the need to approach the general election with a unified and loving house.
The Executive Chairman while addressing the aspirants beckoned on all to accept the reconciliation and stay by the party as the APC is a party which genuinely rewards loyalty, using himself as a case study.
Anomo used the medium to communicate his achievement in office in the last one year and promised not to rest on his oars.
He concluded his speech by encouraging members to be fully prepared for the electioneering activities, join the campaign train and work assiduously for the emergence of the All Progressives Congress in all positions, in order to consolidate the gains and development brought by the party into the LCDA.
The party leaders present also took their turn to speak on a unified house and the need for everyone to let bygone be bygone, concentrate on mobilization for the party and the emergence of all the party’s candidates in next year’s election.
At the end of the meeting, all aspirants and party members agreed to work as one indivisible family and also work for all the party’s candidates to emerge victorious in next year’s general elections.
The All Progressives Congress Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA is one indivisible family, ready to deliver unprecedented votes for the party in the 2023 general elections.
