The essence of collaborating with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA) in areas of reducing drug abuse has been stressed by the Executive Chairman of Oto-Awori LCDA, Prince musibau Adekunle Asafa.
The call was made during the courtesy visit by the Commander of Narcotics, Seme Special Area Command of NDLEA, Abubakar Wada to his office recently.
In his words, the need to identify with the agency should be of paramount interest to all and sundry knowing that the surge of uncontrollable attitude due to drug abuse by some persons has eaten deep in the society.

While responding, Asafa made it clear that the Council is ever ready to collaborate with NDLEA to tackle the menace of drug abuse within Oto Awori LCDA
According to the Council boss, he has over time reiterated his commitment to a viable society and his pursuit to continue to enlighten the public most especially the youth like never before on the dangers inherent on improper or excessive use of drugs.
While engaging the Council leadership on the recent launching of ‘War Against Drug Abuse'(WADA) at the Agency’s headquarters, the Area Commander emphasized his readiness to work hand in hand with key stakeholders most especially at the grassroot level so as to achieve a better synergy.
“Part of the reasons for this visit is to create awareness and encourage knowledge through initiatives and programmes that would discourage drug abuse, we are hoping that the Council will in the nearest time share this responsibility with us” , he noted.
Abubakar Wada, whose area of coverage spread across Badagry to Mile 2 was accompanied by His Deputy Commander, Rita Ajoko and other Staff of the Command.
