Nigeria @ 61: Let’s celebrate as patriotic citizens and uphold national unity – HID Tijani

The Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Hammed Idowu D. Tijani (HID) has called on Nigerians to continue to pray for the nation and further urged Nigerians to see the bright future of the nation as key.

In his independence day message, he enjoined all to celebrate the independence day as patriotic citizens and uphold national unity, exercise their civic responsibilities and right towards achieving a greater nation.

“Our nation has come a long way and we have to be grateful to God Almighty for keeping us alive as we mark the sixty-one years of our existence as a nation after the independence in 1960”, said.

“It is time to make that decision to love and respect our nation. We will never forget all the hustle that brought us here. We will never forget the fights, the wars, and the spoil of independence that made us what we are today”.

On the security of the nation, he called on all and sundry to put hands together, work and pray to God to restore the nation and give her back her loss glory.

“Please let all hands be on deck especially for the security of our nation. We all need to pray for the peace and tranquillity of our dear nation. Nigeria shall raise again (Amen)”, Hon. HID Tijani concluded.
