The Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Hammed Idowu D. Tijani during a courtesy call has frown to the environmental status of the Abattoir market.
The council boss in a bid to ensure the safety and food hygiene of the good people of Ojokoro visit the market to see the status of the market.
During the tour to the market, HID discovered that some key areas of the market were not clean and has given a 24hours automaton to the market authorities to evacuate all the refuse and black spots in the popular Lagos Beef Market.
Speaking with the market authorities
“This is not the first time I will be coming here and this has always been a recurrent decimal. I will not fold my hands as this is going to have a negative effect on the health condition of our people”, HID Tijani said.
While admonishing the people, he said that the council will continue to do all it takes for the people to coexist comfortably.
On the part of the council, plans are already in the pipeline to fumigate the market.
The Vice Chairman, Hon. Oladipupo Coker, the councilor representing Ward A that hosted the Abattoir community, Hon. Bosun Fasasi, and management member of the council were preset at the visitation.
