Sheikh Abdullahi Bala, National Chairman, Jama’atil Izalatul Bidia Waikamatus Sunnah, an Islamic Movement, has appealed to both the Federal and Plateau governments to synergize and fish out the killers of commuters around Bassa Local Government of Plateau last Saturday.
Bala made the appeal on Sunday, in Katsina.
Bala was in the state to support the Katsina state government to plant trees at the Izala E-del Mosque on Sunday, in Katsina.
The cleric described the action of the perpetrators as “evil, barbaric and animalistic”.
He regretted that it was not the first time that criminals in the state were perpetrating such heinous crimes against innocent citizens.
“I can recall that one Maj.-Gen. Muhammad Alkali (Rtd), former Director, Administration, Army headquarters, was also assassinated in a similar circumstance,” he told NAN.
“The Government vowed that it will bring the perpetrators that killed the army general to book, but we didn’t hear anything up till now.
“Yes, we know the governor of Plateau, Mr Simon Lalong is trying, but I urge him to collaborate with the federal government to fish out the criminals that committed the heinous act on commuters on Saturday,” he said.
It’s been recalled that no fewer than 25 passengers in a vehicle travelling from Bauchi to Ondo, were killed in Bassa local government of Plateau.
