Lagos shutdown schools again

Lagos State Government on Monday has directed all the students and pupils in schools in the state to stay back home due to the rising tension of thugs who may want to attach the #ENDSARS protesters.

The state further said that a new date of resumption for all classes will be made known to the general public in a later day.

In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, “the safety of the pupils and students, parents and all staff working in schools is paramount at this critical period”.

She further called on parents to keep an eye on their wards and not allow them to be used as willing tools in the hands of those who might want to hijack the protests to unleash mayhem on the society.

In the same vein, the Commissioner also encouraged schools to utilize other means of distance teaching and learning such as television class, radio and online platforms as they have been doing during and post the recent COVID-19 lockdown.
