NYSC: Batch B Stream 1 pass out in May 2020, see date

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the passing out of 2019 Batch “B” Stream 1 corps members for May 28, 2020.
This got to the press on Monday as the service prepares her Passing Out Parade for the corps members who have been serving the nation for a year even at the face of the pandemic.
NYSC further said that the rules of the federal government on social distance and the use of a facemask is still intact and will be adhered to in the operation of the national youth service.

It is made know that discharge certificates will be given to corps members from their various local government, noting that ten (10) collection points will be made available at each LG as this will prevent a handful of crowed being at a particular time.
“A full complement of NYSC Officers have been mobilised for the distribution and shall do so from ten service points in each of the Local Government Councils”.

On like previous times that certificates will be issued at a central point for the whole state and 24hrs issuance, it is a different node now as the process will last for another 10days.
“As a precautionary measure, the distribution shall be staggered for a period of ten days in the first instance, in order to remove anxiety from the concerned corps members, in addition to making the activity seamless and less cumbersome,” part of the statement reads.

The Service also urged the passing out members to observe strict discipline, proper washing of hands, use of facemask, hand sanitiser orderliness, and social distancing.
However, provision has also been made for corps members who are not in their service state to stay safe at their respective states until the inter-state travel restriction is lifted. He assured that their certificates will be waiting for them to pick-up.
It will be recalled that the Federal Government had in March ordered all corps members in the country to return home as part of measures to curb the spread of the pandemic.
