COVID-19: Lagos state government discharges 13, NCDC gives a nod

Lagos State government has continued to take the lead in the fight against COVID-19 in Nigeria and it is not rolling down on his sleeve even while recording successes.
Over time from the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Governor Babajide Sanwoolu has put measures in place to ensure the state is COVID-19 free after the index case reported.

Lagos being the centre of the pandemic as a result of its geographical location in Nigeria as continue witness increase in positive cases.
As a result of the relentless effort on the state. Lagos  State Government on Thursday night announces the recovery of another 13 Nigerians from the isolation centre.  This is bringing the number of treated persons in Lagos to 541  and these stands as the number of successfully treated patients in the state.

The Incident Commander on COVID-19 in Lagos State, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said the patients include 11 males and two females.

He said: “The 13 Nigerians have been discharged after they tested negative twice consecutively to COVID-19.

“Four were discharged from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, while nine were discharged from the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Idi-Araba. With this, the number of patients successfully managed and discharged in Lagos has risen to 541.”
