Four people have been reportedly killed by a running vehicle in Ogudu area of Lagos on Tuesday close to the Third Mainland Bridge.
The eye witness who gave an account of the incident said children were also involved in the said incident. The residence in the area was so sad with the unfortunate incident.
The Public Relations Officer of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Mr. Nosa Okunbor, confirmed the incident and informed the press of the distress call received on the toll-free 767/112 emergency line of the Lagos State Government.
767/112 emergency number had been put in place to assist Lagosian whenever there is distress in any part of the state. Over time, these numbers have been a saving angel to people in the state as government aid comes right handy.
Mr. Nosa noting that LASEMA swung to action immediately the calls come in. According to him, LASEMA had sketchy details on the accident and why the running vehicle kills four in Lagos.
“Indeed, an accident occurred earlier this morning at Ogudu that left a few people dead” Okunbor said.
“However, the distress call was a call escalated through the 767/112 Lagos emergency toll-free lines and was attended to by LASAMBUS. Therefore, LASEMA does not have a report or statement on it”, he concluded.
