The radio station, according to a commentator on social media, is supposedly owned by the daughter of the former state Governor, Rochas Okorocha.

Other sources said the government had claimed that the property was built on an access road but a staff of the radio station had said the building was constructed on a close, without interference with the access road.

The demolition comes a few days after Okorocha, who is also the lawmaker representing Imo West Senatorial District, and some of his aides were arrested for unsealing a property sealed by the state government.
