The council chairman Onigbongbo LCDA Hon Oladotun Olakanle (fpa) has eulogised the lawmaker representing Ikeja federal constituency Hon James Abiodun Faleke (MHR) for empowering the people of Ikeja federal constituency.
As part of the electioneering campaign promises, Hon Faleke on Wednesday 3rd of February 2021 distributed 100 mini buses (Korope), 12 tricycles (Keke Faleke), 50 deep freezers with 50 generators, 100 grinding machines, 30 industrial sewing machines, 30 straight line sewing machines and 25 hair dryers.
‘Owo Omo Faleke’ as he is fondly called, apart from distributing the items also doled out huge amount of money to some of the constituents to assist in their businesses.
The council chairman Hon Olakanle commended Hon Faleke for his quality representation and also thanked him for the gesture especially at this time of coronavirus and also for picking the date of the empowerment program which coincidentally falls to his birthday, he noted that such motivations would reduce the rate of unemployment and encourage productivity in the communities.
In keeping with the protocols of COVID19, the event which was in low key took place at the Police College Ikeja had beneficiaries drawn from the 3 local government in Ikeja (i.e. Ikeja local government, Onigbongbo LCDA and Ojodu LCDA).
