COVID-19: Zamfara Governor flags off fumigation of markets, public places in the state

The Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle has flagged off the fumigation of markets and other public places including government offices in the 14 local government areas of the state as measures to reduce the spread of coronavirus.

This follows the successful establishment of two isolation centres for the treatment of COVID-19 patients in the state.

Governor Matawalle said the flagging off campaign in Gusau, the state capital, will be used to disinfect public places to curtail the risk of contracting the virus in the state.

According to him, the exercise has shown the state government’s preparedness to secure the lives of its citizens, and therefore, charges the residents to adhere to all the NCDC guidelines and protocols against COVID-19 including practising social distancing and maintaining proper personal hygiene.
