Ikeja Electric has stopped all physical transactions of business across its offices in Lagos state for one week.
The power distribution company said the closure is aligned with the state government directive to avoid many gatherings to prevent further spread of the coronavirus.
It’s part of precautionary measures that have become necessary to safeguard the health of customers and staff by limiting their exposure to the virus” It added.
The Discos, however, stated that the temporal shut down of offices will not affect the supply of electricity in the residence.
The company stated that online channels for the purchase of energy credits and payment of bills are not affected.
And in situations where there are complaints, customers are advised to use email, live chat or through phone to reach the customer care unit.
